Five important stages of standard design of electronic wiring harness!

Electronic wiring harness is an indispensable product in our daily life. Its main function is to transfer data and information from one part to another. Electronic wiring harness can be seen everywhere, whether in smart home or industrial applications. When designing electronic wiring harness, there are factors needing attention at every stage. This paper mainly discusses the following aspects. Five important stages of standard design of electronic wiring harness are introduced.

I. Designated characteristics of electron beam

To specify a series of specified characteristics of products that customers need, such as conductor size, conductor type, insulation material, etc., harness manufacturers must design and produce according to the corresponding requirements.

II. Pressure Connector

Pressed connectors used primarily to connect harnesses from both sides are as important as their internal wires. During harness design, the manufacturer must accurately measure the wire length required by the specification. Once the wire is cut to a limited length, other considerations must be verified, such as the length requirement between contacts and the length requirement between the connector and the end of the wire, as well as the tension test and continuity test. To ensure that the wires and connectors are firmly together.

III. Insulation and Safety

Ensuring the safety and durability of wire harness is an important stage in the design of electronic wire harness. It has extreme working conditions in industrial applications. Under these working conditions, electronic wire harness is usually exposed to many external factors, such as wear, vibration, ultraviolet radiation, shock and humidity. However, if they are properly insulated, they can be protected from these factors for a long time. At this stage, steps such as label type, shielding and insulation are implemented to ensure the safety of electronic harness.

IV. Alternatives

In many cases, it is impossible to find the exact raw materials needed to achieve the expected results, but in order to meet the delivery deadline and still maintain the expected results, real-time modifications can be made and alternative materials and methods can be proposed. In the process of electronic harness design, it is necessary to prepare for these immediate changes and quickly propose feasible alternatives.

V. Performance Testing of Electronic Wire Harness

Finally, before the electronic wiring harness can be sold to the market, the product must be tested for design efficiency, transmission capacity, durability, elasticity, insulation and so on. In these tests, serious problems such as crosstalk and signal may be found. If there are problems such as power interference and grounding fault in the test, these errors should be identified and corrected in time to avoid unnecessary adverse factors and complete the design of wire harness efficiently.
